Coffee on the Road

School is out and we are officially in summer mode in our house. Summertime is road-trippin time! We look forward to experiencing different local, coffee roasters wherever we travel but, sometimes it’s hard to find a good cup on the road.

Whether it’s the middle of the night or the middle of nowhere here is what we do.

What we bring:

1 Hand or battery operated grinder

1 Bag of Beal Beans (duh)

1 Hario V60

1 pack of V60 filters

1 Coffee cup

This set up works in a pinch as long as you can access hot water (we use Starbucks. lol we totally see the irony here.)

For camping we add:

1 Gooseneck Kettle

1 Camping stove

Propane

Gallon spring or filtered water

Here is an example from our family road trip last year. We stopped for snacks and hot water then made our own coffee in the car using Beal Beans.

Also, the little guy did get to use the potty again…
