Full-bodied, earthy and complex. This Mandheling from North Sumatra is an exemplary wet-hulled coffee, a process known locally as Giling Basah. Beans are fermented 12-14 hours to break down the mucilage layer before washing. The result is a unique, rich, low acid coffee that many love for espresso and french press. Ours has notes of dark chocolate, tobacco, pine, and blackberry.
